Sockeye salmon’s habitat ranges from Northern Japan and across the Bering Sea to Alaska and down the West Coast to Southern Oregon. Most of our Sockeye come out of the Bristol Bay which is the home of the world’s largest wild sockeye run, but we source sockeye out of a variety of Alaska river systems known for their unique, high quality, and world-famous fish. The Copper River is one example and this run starts out the Sockeye season during the third week in May. Our previously frozen Wild Sockeye Salmon Fillet is directly purchased from cold storages in Alaska and then trucked down to Seattle where we thaw, fillet, and cut-to-order the fish.
