Petrale sole is the most desirable species of Pacific flounder and has a range from California to Alaska. While much of our Petrale is coming out of the Gulf of Alaska and the Bering Sea, a substantial amount is sourced from the Washington and Oregon coasts. Petrale sole is sweet, mild, and nutty; the texture is delicate with a firm flake. Species populations are above target levels on the West Coast and in the Gulf of Alaska.
